Kerala, land of kera vriksha-coconut trees, a tree not native to the soil exemplifies the magnanimous tradition of hospitality. The greenest of all Indian states is a great repository of floral and faunal resource. Existence of churches, mosques and temples in close vicinity and the performance of rituals like fire walking, common to temple festival and Muharram celebration depicts the
cultural convergence of contradictory beliefs. Diversity and accommodativeness
is manifested in the existence of witchcraft and exorcism in a land that became totally literate by U.N standards in 1991. Located near 9 degree latitude and 76 degree longitude Alappuzha has a temperature that varies between 22°C and 35°C in summer and 20 -32 in winter. Alappuzha has a warm and pleasant tropical climate with seasonally excessive rainfall. The climate is generally humid in nature. High season time is during August-September and February-March. Three rivers, numerous canals and backwaters that criss-cross the land regulate the climate.

 William Blake ....

To see a World in a grain of sand, And a Heaven in a wild flower, Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand, And Eternity in an hour.
